For the Tofu
- Preheat the oven to 425F.
- Cut the tofu into cubes. Transfer the tofu to a bowl, add the cornstarch & toss them around until they are fully covered. Repeat the process with the oil.
- Bake them for 20 - 25 minutes, or until they’re golden brown. Set aside.
For the Sauce
- In a medium size pan, heat up the oil & sauté the garlic until it becomes aromatic.
- Add the rest of the ingredients into a bowl & whisk until they come together.
- Add the mixture to the pan & whisk until it starts to thicken. Cook it for 3-4 minutes more, whisking continuously. Add the tofu, stir to make sure the tofu is fully covered.
- Serve with rice.
Notes
Leftover sauce can be kept on the fridge for up to a week.
